For those who have never experienced authentic Korean cuisine, they will find it is not only surprisingly delectable, but unexpectedly healthy as well. The wide selection of grilled meats, plentiful vegetables and exotic spices mean every dish will please your stomach without making it grow. Each dish is also accompanied by purple rice, an heirloom variety of rice native to Asia which is naturally rich in iron and provides more antioxidants per serving than blueberries.
‘SuRa’ (수라) refers to the meals of the king and royal court during the Joseon Dynasty in Korea. It is this ideal, of providing a meal befitting royalty, that drives SuRa’s ethic of ‘Traditional Food, Modern Style.’ Every guest is presented with traditional, non-Americanized Korean fare in a clean, modern setting accentuated by the experience of the highest levels of contemporary service standards. Our goal is to provide the Greater Cincinnati area with a way to experience Korea’s rich culture through delectable cuisine.
Whether you’re looking for a delicious, healthy meal or craving a taste of Seoul sans the expensive airfare, SuRa Korean Cuisine is the perfect choice for lunch or dinner.

SuRa Korean Cuisine was opened on September 14th 2010 in Mason, Ohio by Dr. InHwan Oh and his wife. After years at the top of his field of color engineering, Dr. Oh left the world of chromatic chemistry and moved to Cincinnati to pursue his other passion – culinary chemistry.
As both proprietors and chefs the Ohs bring a sense of modern style to their closely guarded traditional family recipes. You won’t find over-sweetened, Americanized dishes here; Dr. Oh is committed to providing guests with authentic fare that will make them feel like they’re dining at a family restaurant in the Insadong district of Seoul, Korea.
